The population of Tabriz are Iranian (Azeri, Turks, and Tats) people. Tabriz has one of the most diverse designs from medallion, Herati/Mahi, pictorial, and even 3D shaped rugs. The pictorial rugs from this area are mostly inspired depictions from old Iranian stories of Khosrau, Farhad, Shirin… who were created by famous Iranian poets with some adages about love.
