This fine Antique Persian Rug is a beautiful example of traditional Persian rugs. The masterpiece features a dark background with contrasting vibrant colours of red, blue and green. the vibrant colours have been woven into a repeat pattern floral design through the centre and a highly detailed floral border, which lays on a red field.
Handcrafted with hand-spun wool and cotton, dyed using organic vegetable dying techniques. Constructed with intricate detail by master weavers. Handwoven in Farahan, a county in Markazi Province in Iran. Circa 1900.
