Vintage Red Turkish Kilim Rug

This vintage Turkish kilim rug was handwoven in 1950’s and is very good condition.One can see influence from Karabagh area. Colour variations can be seen on this kilim which is described as abrash. Abrash is a term used to describe colour variations in some oriental rugs. Although such inconsistencies maybe mistaken as ‘ flaws’ in colouration, abrash is actualy a much more intimate and complex characteristic. This antique Turkish Kilim rug features a tribal motif design woven in a linear pattern with various vibrant and muted colours of blue red, green and ivory.
