Vintage Persian Runner Rug

This fine vintage runner rug was handwoven in Hamedan and features a beautifully intricate central design and border. Red, pink and brown accents make up the symmetrical patterns of motifs and diamonds, on a grey background. The contrasting border features a darker background with a simple repeat pattern woven in the same accents colours. This stunning wool rug is suitable for both modern and traditional interiors. Handmade with the finest hand-spun wool and cotton, which was dyed using organic vegetable dyes. Intricate hand-knotted designs tell stories through design and colour. Suitable for use as a hallway, entranceway, or kitchen runner rug. In excellent condition, ready for use. Hand woven in persia Circa 1940.
