Vintage Persian Hamedan Runner Rug

This bold wool kilim is a vintage Afghan ziegler runner rug, woven by hand in the late 20th century, circa 1990. The central design features an open field of rust red with a Cream zig-zag border. Both decorated with delicate motifs. The colour palette and traditional design make this runner an excellent accent rug. Sure to uplift any space it is introduced too.

The materials and methods used to construct this wool rug make it durable and sure to last. The master craftsmen who create these rugs use techniques that have been used for generations. Including hand-spinning the fine wools, organic dyeing and hand-weaving/ knotting every square inch of each rug.
