Antique Zeiglar Rug, Persia

This is a fine example of an Antique Persian Ziegler rug, these carpets are rarities and originals were woven in the 1890s. Our example features an all-over design with wonderful green, rust, navy blue and gold colors and is in good condition for its age. The all over design features intricately woven floral motifs in a repeat pattern. Handwoven with hand-spun wool which has been dyed using organic vegetable dying techniques.
