This fantastic Antique Malayer Rug was hand woven in the 1880s and features a rich, intricate design. The elegant repeat pattern design is traditional in antique Malayer rugs. The iconic all-over design, consists of a flower centred within a diamond, surrounded by curving leaves and fishes and lots of cute painted paisleys in the border. A blend of Persian inspiration and tribal elements create a unique, dynamic and aesthetic in this one-of-a-kind antique carpet.

The rich, rust, blue and red colours come from traditional dyeing techniques! This piece has been constructed with the finest hand spun giving it a fantastic tight hand knotted pile.

Constructed with hand-spun wool, Woven on looms by master weavers with traditional hand-knotting techniques that make this piece durable and so suitable for any high traffic area.
