Woven by hand in Farahan, Persian in the 1890s with fine organic hand-spun wool. The Farahan district is located in central Iran, south of Tehran and near the cities of Arak, Kashan and Qum. Rugs from this location are known for their mature designs and densely hand-knotted piles.
