Antique Persian Qashqai Rug

This fine wool rug has a bold geometric tribal motif design in accents of green, pink, orange and blue with a cream background and a thick layered border made up of repeat patterns. Both the colour palette and design of this wool rug are suitable for both classic home interiors.
This antique piece was woven in 1910 in Persia by the Qashqai, a large Turkic group mainly settled in the southwest of Iran. Constructed with fine hand-spun wool and cotton, which have been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques that have been used for generations.
