Large Vintage Cream Afghan Ziegler Carpet

This fantastic Ziegler carpet is an extra large area rug with a fantastic traditional repeat pattern design. Featuring an excellent floral motif design that has been woven in rich red tones on a beige / cream field. The border is a beautiful repeat pattern woven in the opposite, red background with cream motifs. This piece has been constructed with the finest materials, including hand spun wool which has been dyed with traditional, organic dying techinques by hand. Constructed on looms in Afghanistan by master weavers whom intricately hand knot the fantastic designs.
