Rare Sarab Antique Area Rug

Hand made in the 1940s this highly detailed area rug features a tribal geometric design. The Multi-layered border reveals a repeat pattern that encompasses the central design. In the central motif is a stylised pool woven in blue which contrasts beautifully against the more subtle creams and the deep reds. Both the colour and design in this wool rug make it the perfect accent rug for any classy or cosy home.

This piece was handwoven in Persia in the 1900s,  by local Village weavers with Hand-spun wool which was dyed using vegetable dyeing techniques, used for generations. This traditional carpet is perfect for any traditional interior or contemporary home, suitable for use as a bedroom rug, living room rug or even home office rug.

This piece is in excellent condition, clean and ready for use in any room.
